The workshops were part of the idea behind Between Two Shores: bringing people together and creating opportunities to connect through art. Neighbours from different parts of the community, including Burnaby and North Vancouver, joined us.

 

The children’s workshops took place on October 17, 2026, at Thre3 Co. Café. Children aged 5–8 and 9–13 created their own artworks, which are featured here. Their creations were full of imagination and the open-hearted curiosity that makes seeing the world through a child’s eyes so special.

 

On October 24, participants aged 14 and up—including young people and adults—came together for a Cantonese collage workshop. There was plenty of sharing and laughter as participants explored their thoughts and feelings about Hong Kong and Vancouver through a collective artwork, also featured here.

 

Across both workshops, making art together opened up space for conversation, connection, and getting to know one another.
